June Lang, an actress whose career launched in the 1930s, had such a fragile and wholesome appearance that she was often typecast as a younger sister or somesuch. She was just starting to secure leading roles when she found her career yanked out from under her after she married a reputed mobster and the studio ended her contract. She tried reviving her career after divorcing him later, but had little luck. Lovely, though, isn’t she?
