Michaela DePrince followed her dream to become a dancer after she saw a cover of a magazine with a ballerina on it. She is now in the Dance Theater of Harlem Company and was recently one of the six dancers featured in the award-winning ballet documentary, First Position.
At only 17 years old, she seems to be heading toward the future of her dreams. But it hasn’t come easy.
